Jessie Wilcox Smith was a prolific illustrator during the early twentieth century. Her work was published in many of the leading magazines of the time, some of which include Collier’s, Good Housekeeping, Harper’s, and Ladies’ Home Journal. Smith was also known for her illustrations published in popular children’s books; some of her more famous titles are The Jessie Wilcox Smith Mother Goose and The Water Babies.
